The ESEG® Advanced Principles Course in Ovarian Cancer brought together more than 45 participants in Mumbai, India, for two days of intensive education, practical training and professional exchange focused on the surgical management of advanced ovarian cancer.
Designed for specialists in gynecological oncology the course explored key principles of cytoreductive surgery, multidisciplinary treatment strategies and the management of complex ovarian cancer cases. Through expert-led lectures and interactive case discussions, participants gained valuable insights into current surgical approaches and best practices in ovarian cancer care.
A particular strength of the course was its multidisciplinary focus, bringing together healthcare professionals from different specialties to discuss patient management from diagnosis through treatment. The lively discussions and exchange of experiences created an engaging learning environment and encouraged collaboration across disciplines.
The programme combined theoretical knowledge with practical application. Participants took part in a dedicated preparation workshop followed by hands-on training sessions in the wet lab where advanced surgical techniques could be practised under expert guidance. During the workshop the reusable vessel sealing system marSeal® 5 Plus from KLS Martin was used allowing attendees to gain first-hand experience with innovative surgical technology in a realistic training setting.
